What kind of family law cases are mediated?

In Florida, the courts will have a provision where the parties are required to go to mediation. The courts will mediate anything from modifying child support, modifying custody, and initial divorce, a paternity case. The courts strongly encourage all the parties to try to reach an agreement at all extents possible, but most cases, like I said, will be required to be mediated before any final hearings can be held.
